Timo Weiland’s Polka Dot Tassel Loafers by Vivienne Westwood
I would wear these with dark blue shorts and a white button up. These are an amazing statement shoe. Rock em.
A bit about Timo Weiland: Born in rural Nebraska and raised between New York City and Jacksonville, Florida, Timo Weiland’s influences reach from the urban to the pastoral. Training from his mother at an early age in sewing coupled with an understanding of fabric, sparked Timo’s early interest in fashion. However, he majored in Economics, Spanish Literature, and Business Management at Vanderbilt University before returning to New York to pursue a career in fashion and to ultimately launch his namesake brand.

All Saints Spitalfield
I discovered All Saints last year while on holiday in London. The looks are very contemporary and the styling is great. Good cuts for the shirts and pants. I would check them out if I were you.

Why Tom’s are being attacked by Skechers. Please read below and make sure you support the right company.

kkapowski:

So many of you know that I am pursuing my Master’s in Merchandising at UNT and currently working on my thesis. My thesis is exploring fashion copyright, and I have been on the fence lately whether I believe fashion should be awarded copyright protection. But, after a trip to the mall I walked by the Skechers store, I stumbled upon these.

Now when people think of copyright protection they think of expensive designers that produce products that only a few lucky people can afford. But really it happens all the time. TOMS is a great company with a honorable mission to give a pair of shoes to kids that are in need. It is a local company, that has grown its business based on a message. Do they deserve to be ripped off by the company that produces shape ups?

When I see blatant knock-offs happen like this, I certainly start leaning on the side of passing the IDPPPA (fashion copyright bill). Not only did Skechers copy the entire look of the TOMS shoes (Short name, design, and tags) but they also copied the concept of giving a shoe away to a child. I guess that is good right?

On a side note, when I was looking on the Skecher’s website I could not find the BOB’s on there - so maybe they have been getting a lot of flack for their knock-off and removed them from their website.

I’m ready for the whole stylish phenomenon with celebrities to go away. People always ask ‘Whose style do you admire?’ Well, it’s hard to say, because I don’t think we’re seeing personal style; we’re seeing hired style.
